Team Annie
Story
On 11th November 2016 our beloved Annie began her pancreatic cancer journey. A much loved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin and friend who’s life touched many. During her journey she drew strength from her Faith, Family and Friends.
After her diagnosis she was determined to live life to the fullest despite being unwell.
We were all able to celebrate life and living together when 40 of her family and friends went on a 7 day cruise. We were also able to celebrate Annie's amazing talent as a artist with over 100 people joining us for high tea and an art exhibition. Her strength in character was also demonstrated in her writing about the blessings that cancer has brought her.
Our beautiful Annie passed away peacefully at 10 minutes to midnight on the 9th October 2017 surrounded by her devoted husband and loving family. We cried, laughed and remembered our treasured moments with her until we watched the sunrise together. As the sun rose, we remembered how she used to sing, ‘Oh what a beautiful morning’ to wake us. We are so grateful for the gift of her in our lives and we will continue to always feel her love and positivity each day.
The fight against this devastating illness is not over, it has just begun and we look forward to doing our part to help support cancer research in Annie's honour.
